Michael Shields
SHIELDS (Bishopstown, Cork): On March 24th, 2026, peacefully, at the Cork University Hospital, MICHAEL (Former principal at Carrigaline Community School), dearly loved husband of Mary, loving father of Aidan, Rory, Eimear, Kieran, Eamon, Hugh and Michael and pre-deceased by his brother Kevin and sister June.
Sadly missed by his wife, children, his grandchildren Robyn, James, Grace, Zara, Keri, Allene, Aoife, Hugh, Cara, Simone, Faye, Jamie, Liah, Michael and Páidí, father-in-law to Patti, Hubi, Keelin, Anna and Jenny, partners Susan and Simone, brother-in-law Eamon, sister-in-law Helen, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Reposing at the Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road of Jerh O’Connor Ltd; on Friday (March 27th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.
Requiem Mass at 10.00am on Saturday (March 28th) in the Church of the Real Presence, Curraheen Road which can be viewed
Funeral afterwards to St. James’ Cemetery, Chetwynd.
