Michael Spillane

Peacefully, at his home following a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Devoted and loving husband of Marilyn, father of John, Dave, Rose, Jeanne and Ben much loved brother of Sean, Mary Rose, Tom and Nora. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Mary and Judy, brother-in-law Dave. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, son-in-law, Rob, daughter-in-law, Annette, his three grandchildren, Yani, Hannah and Timmy, brothers-in-law, Rob, Tom and Ed, sisters-in-law, Lori, Carol, Gert, his kids partners, Kirsty and Kenneth, his nephews, nieces, relatives, golf buddies and other friends and family in Canada and around the world. Mike will also be celebrated and missed by his many staff and customers both past and present at Spillanes Bar in the Maharees. A true legend, loved by all who met him.

Rest in Peace

Removal from his residence on Saturday 15th, August 2020, for 12 noon Mass in St. Mary's Church, Castlegregory, Co. Kerry. Burial afterwards in Killiney Cemetery.

ALL STRICTLY PRIVATE in accordance with Government and H.S.E directives and in the interest of public health and gatherings. Those wishing to pay their respects, but who are unable to so due to the restrictions, may leave a message in condolence book below. No flowers please, donations, in lieu, to Tralee Palliative Care or The Irish Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.

Due to the present restrictions with funerals, those who would have liked to attend the wake and funeral may consider forming a guard of honour near Spillane's Bar at time of removal or near the church in Castlegregory on arrival.
