Michael THOMPSON

Michael Thompson of 59 Brotherton, Sleaty Road, Graiguecullen, Carlow and formerly of Ballyloo, Co Carlow and Kill, Co. Kildare, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, on April 9th 2026 at his home.

Beloved father of Neal and Shona, much loved partner of Lilly and his late wife Anne, adored grandfather of Anna, Sarah, Grace, Kim, Lia and Luke and cherished brother of Paddy, Lena, Vera, Joan and the late Maureen, Teresa, Buddy and Mag.

He will be sadly missed by his loving children, partner, grandchildren, son-in-law Niall, daughter-in-law Mary, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Michael will repose at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq (R93 C863) on Wednesday April 15th from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Thursday morning at 10.15am to St Peter & Paul Church, Ballon, Co Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Corbans Cemetery, Naas, Co Kildare.
