Michael Traynor

The death has occurred of Michael Traynor, Fennor, Oldcastle, Co Meath, surrounded by family in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital, on Thursday 5th March 2026. Born 1939 in Greeve, Mountnugent, Co Cavan.

Predeceased by his parents Christopher and Margaret, his brothers Christy and Ownie, his niece Julia and grand-nephew Sean (Reilly).

Will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mae, daughters Mary and Mairéad, son-in-law Thomas, brothers Tom and Charlie, sisters Rose (Sister Rosemary) and Bridie (Sister Fiona), brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home in Fennor this Saturday 7th March from 2.30pm to 7pm. Arriving at St Brigid's Church, Oldcastle on Sunday for Funeral Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in local cemetery.
