Michael Wall

In the early hours of Saturday, 7th February, Michael completed his life’s journey at the age of 48 in the great care of the Galway Hospice with his dearly loved sister by his side.

Deeply mourned by his heartbroken and devoted mother Irene, sister Catherine, brother-in-law Peter, adored nephews Ben and Max and precious niece Elia. Michael will always be fondly remembered by his extended family and cherished close wonderful and loyal friends including the Quinn, Reynolds, Kenny, Golden and O’Carroll families.

Though he has slipped beyond our sight,

his spirit’s warmth will never fade,

In wind through trees and Menlo lakes,

his memory rests in peace and shade.

His spirit moved with quiet grace,

through illness never once complained.

A storyteller with humour bright,

whose perseverance always remained.

Funeral Arrangements

Tuesday, 10th February 2026

Michael will lie in Repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 12.15 p.m. A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Removal to Shannon Crematorium at 1.30 p.m. with a brief stop for refreshments on the way. There will be a gathering to say a final farewell to Michael at 4 p.m. at Shannon Crematorium. Michael’s ashes will be scattered at a later date, to be arranged.

Donations in memory of Michael if desired to the Galway Hospice with heartfelt gratitude for the tender and compassionate care offered by them to patients.
