Michael Walsh

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sad passing of Michael Walsh, Rockmills, Kildorrery, Co. Cork and formerly of Grange, Fermoy, who passed away peacefully on 17th January 2026, in the loving care of the wonderful medical team at Cork University Hospital, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Predeceased by his wife Mary (née Tobin), her brothers and sister, his siblings Pat, Dick, and Eileen, his in-laws and his daughter-in-law Colette.

 

Loving remembered by his wife Helen (Gallagher), his daughters Emer, Miriam and Caroline, son Noel, stepchildren Denis, Kerene, Kevin, Jacinta, Aidan, John and Helen, sisters Marguerite and Betty and their late spouses, sons-in-law Gerard Howard, John Hartnett and David Howard, stepsons-in-law and stepdaughters-in-law, grandchildren and step-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, his great neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

Lying in repose in the Chapel of Peace, Hannon’s Funeral Home, Kildorrery (P67 H971), on Monday evening, 19th January, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Reception on Tuesday, 20th January, into St. Bartholomew’s Church, Kildorrery for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, after which Michael will be laid to rest in Kilcrumper Old Cemetery, Fermoy.
