Michael Whelan

Michael Whelan former CIE, late of Boghall Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly Glasthule, Co. Dublin. Passed peacefully on Thursday 29th January 2026 in the loving care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, with Paul and Lisa by his side.

Predecased by his mother Julia, father Michael, his sister Eileen and brother John. Beloved husband of the late Pauline (née Petticrew) Will be sadly missed by his children Lisa and Paul, son-in-law, Paco and daughter-in-law Clodagh, his grandchildren Luca, Aoibhinn, Emily and Fionn, his niece Annette and her family, all his nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Michael will repose at Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, Boghall Road, Bray (A98 R673), on Monday, 2nd February, from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, 3rd February, at 11.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray, followed by burial in Springfield Cemetery.
