Mick (Michael) O'Mara

O'MARA Dunmanway & Ballinteer, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of MICK, in his 93rd year, after a short illness at Bantry General Hopsital on March 30th 2026. Mick will be dearly missed by his family, who loved him beyond words, his wife Mary, sons Thomond & Desmond, his daughter Hilary, his adored grandchildren Niall & Fiona O'Mara and Michael Bambury, his much loved daughter in law Roisin O'Mara & son in law Anthony Bambury, his brother in law Des McCarthy, his life-long friend Brendan O'Rourke, his O'Mara Nieces & Nephews in Cambridge & London and the McCarthy family The Square. Reunited with his parents Michael & Mary, his sisters Eileen, Vera & Gladys and brother Edward (Seb).

We, the family, are eternally grateful to all who helped and cared for Dad both at home and in Bantry Hospital. Thanks to Dr. Tom O'Donnell, who made many visits to Dad and to Valerie, Eileen and Mary for years of great care.

Visitation this Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 8:00pm with Prayers at 8pm.

Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon this Wednesday in St. Patrick's Church, Dunmanway. Burial afterwards to St. Finbarr's Cemetery, Dunmanway.
