MICK MURPHY

MICK MURPHY (Castleview, Carrigtwohill, Co, Cork and formerly of Davidstown, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford).

The death has occurred of Mick in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Catherine’s Ward, Marymount Hospice, after an illness borne for three years with great strength, positivity and humour.

Dearly beloved husband of his partner of 25 years; Denise (Kearney), adored and loving father to his brave children Caoimhe, Dermot and Cormac.

Mick is sadly missed and will be forever loved by his heartbroken mother Nellie, his brothers and sisters Bill, Dickie, Kieran, Mag, Caroline, John, Derek, Angela, Deirdre, Fergus, Kenneth, Valerie and Louise, and their families. Mick is predeceased by his father Patrick and his brother Patrick. He will also be missed by the extended Sinnott and Murphy families. He will be fondly remembered by his very wide circle of loyal and loving friends, former work colleagues, his parents in law Mairead and Danny, sister-in-law Joyce and the extended Kearney and Nolan families.

House will be strictly private through this difficult time.

As per Mick’s wishes he will repose at Hyde’s Funeral Home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton P25VW02 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Friday, 10th of November.

He will make his way to St. Mary’s Church, Carrigtwohill leaving Hyde’s at 10am on Saturday 11th of November taking the back road from Midleton to Carrigtwohill (via Ballyrichard & Carrigane Road) for one last drive through the countryside before stopping at 1 Castleview for one last time. Funeral mass will take place at 10.30am on Saturday with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
