Hennessy (Mitchelstown)

 

On February 6th 2026, peacefully, with his family, at Cork University Hospital, Mike Hennessy, Kilshanny, Mitchelstown.

 

Beloved son of Mike and Mary (nee Mannix) and and proud brother of Sean, Pat and Ger.

 

Much loved brother-in-law of Ann (Murphy), Noreen (Walsh) and Margo (Kirwan), loving uncle to Jack, Shauna, Lucy and Dylan and step-uncle to Declan and Aidan. A loving nephew to his many aunts and uncles and remembered lovingly by his many cousins. Mike will be fondly remembered by all of his close friends.

 

May Michael Rest in Peace.

 

Reposing at The Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street, Mitchelstown, P67 DX81 on Monday evening (9th Feb.) from 5pm to 7pm.

 

Reception into the Church of Mary Conceived Without Sin, Mitchelstown on Tuesday morning (10 Feb.) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Brigown New Cemetery.

The family are very grateful to the staff in the ICU Department and especially thankful to those in Ward 4B for their care and kindness to Mike.
