Moira Jones nee O’Connell of Caherslee, Tralee and formerly Killahan, Abbeydorney, Co. Kerry, died peacefully on 24th January 2026, adored wife of David and cherished mother of Danielle, David, Jonathan, Leighton, Sheena and also Sarah.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, her grandchildren Ben, Sam, Polly, Finlay, Robert, Ruan, Peter, Juno, Naela, Isobel, Beatrix & Matthew, her brother Dan (DoDo), sons-in-law Fergus, Paul & Richard, daughters-in-law Iona, Ophélie & Lorraine, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in Peace.

Moira will repose at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee, on Tuesday (27th January) from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. John’s Church, Tralee on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. (streamed on www.stjohns.ie)where the Requiem Mass for Moira will be celebrated at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Réalt na Mara Cemetery, Churchill.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to The Palliative Care Unit, U.H.K. (via “Donation” link below – Kerry Hospice Foundation), or care of The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.
