Moira (Mary) Daly (nee Farrell), Shanvally, Peterswell, Co. Galway and Yonkers, NY, USA, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, after a long illness.

 

Predeceased by her parents James and Elsie, Shanvally, Peterswell, brothers James, Blackrock, Peterswell and Michael (Miko), Plymouth Ma, USA.

 

Sadly missed by her five children, Jimmy, Robert, Mary, Annmarie and Gerri, sons-in-law, beloved grandchildren, her brother Mattie Farrell (Shanvally, Peterswell), sisters Rita Brady and Carmel Byrne (NJ, USA), sisters-in-law Josephine Farrell (Blackrock, Peterswell), Carmel Farrell, brothers-in-law Mike Byrne and Noel Brady (USA), nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

 

Moira left Ireland at the age of 16, and travelled to the United States where she paved the way for her younger brother and sisters, many relatives and friends, eventually settling in Yonkers, NY.

 

Moira was a wonderful, care-giving mother and friend and will be greatly missed.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 19th at 10:30 EST in St. John the Baptist Church, Yonkers, NY followed by the inurnment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 10 W. Stevens Avenue Hawthorne, NY 10573.

A remembrance Mass will be held at a later date.
