The death has occurred of Moira Jones

Jones, Moira (Moi) (Ballybrack, Co Dublin) died peacefully at home March 21st, 2026, in the care of her beloved wife, Carol Lanigan, and the wonderful team at Our Lady's Hospice and Care Services in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. After a life lived richly in London, Scotland, Japan, Australia and finally Ireland, Moi is deeply missed across many continents particularly by her sisters Pat, Maggie and Bette, her brother George, her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; by her treasured in-laws and their families Michael and Oonagh, Joyce and Quentin, and Wesha, wife of the late much loved Billy Lanigan who died in 2006; and last but not least by the legion of sisters she lived and worked with in her quest for a fairer world, especially for women.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Friday 27th March from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday 28th March at 2.00pm. A private burial will take place at a later date.
