The death has occurred of Moira Tighe (née Duignan) Ballindoon, Riverstown, Co. Sligo. F52X309, January 30th 2023, peacefully, at her home, in the loving care of her family, her dedicated carers and the Community Palliative Care Team.

Loving wife of Christy and loving mother of David and Derek. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Kate, Keshcarrigan, Co. Leitrim, her brothers Peadar and Michael. 

Moira will be sadly missed by her husband Christy, her sons David and Derek, her daughter-in-law Anya, her brother Seán and her sisters-in-law Doreen and Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

May her gentle and loving soul rest in peace.

Reposing at her home, Tuesday, January 31st, from 3pm to 8pm and on Wednesday, February 1st, from 12 noon until 3pm, followed by private cremation.

No flowers please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Sligo Hospice, c/o of Shivnan Funeral Directors, Ballyfarnon.

Very special thanks to her wonderful carers who looked after Moira with such love over many years and to the Palliative Care Angels who made her so comfortable in her final precious days with us.

Moira touched so many people - her legacy will live on.

We love you round the moon and back Mumsie.

You are never more than a thought away from our hearts.
