Mona Lyons, (née Carrigan), Bauntha, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, originally from Burnchurch, Killenaule, Co. Tipperary.

Passed away at home among her own, on Monday, 25th August 2025.

Pre-deceased by her husband Jack, her sisters Kitty, Maureen and Jocie, her brother Jim and her great-granddaughter Moira.

Mona will be missed by her children, Mary, Joe, Bernadette, John, Breda and Adrian, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mona will repose at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan (Eircode R95 Y443), on Wednesday, 27th August from 4pm until 7pm.

Mona’s Rosary and Vigil Prayers will take place afterwards at her home in Bauntha (Eircode R95 Y5F2) at 8.30pm.

Funeral Prayers at her home, on Thursday, 28th August at 11am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan.
