Monica Murray

Monica Murray (Garringreen, Johnswell Road, Kilkenny City and formerly of Dean Cavanagh Place, Killkenny) died peacefully after a long illness bravely fought on Wednesday 5th February 2025 in the excellent care of all the staff in St. Patrick’s Ward, St. Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Predeceased by her parents, Sean and Myra, brothers Andy and Martin, sisters-in-law Maria and Peggy. Deeply regretted by her best friend and loving daughter Ashleigh, brothers Sean, Michael and Joe, sisters Peggy, Mary and Joann, sisters-in-law Joan and Liz, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

MAY MONICA REST IN PEACE

Monica will be reposing at her sister Joann’s residence, 3 Garringreen, Johnswell Road, Kilkenny City (R95 EI C0) on Friday (7th February) from 5pm to 7pm with rosary and vigil prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday (8th) in St. Mary’s Cathedral Kilkenny City and followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown or The Alzheimers Society of Ireland. Donation box will be in Church.
