Monica O'Donovan

O’DONOVAN (née Cranitch) Fermoy / Rockboro Road, Cork / Carrigaline, MONICA, on January 17th, 2026, peacefully in the tender care of all in Marymount Hospice. Predeceased by her husband Denis, his brother Donal, Tommy, Gerard & Michael Cranitch and Kaye & Peter Browne.

 

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter Mairéad (Dunlea), sons D.J. and Kevin, son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Jackie and Annette, granddaughters Sadhbh and Caoimhe, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Requiem Mass at South Parish Church, Douglas Street on Wednesday, January 21st at 3pm which will be live streamed

Funeral afterwards to Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

 

Monica’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to everybody in Carrig Medical, the Public Health Nurses in Carrigaline, the Community Palliative Care Team in Marymount and her very special care assistants, Anne and Malu who made her time in Carrigaline not only possible but enjoyable. Finally, everybody in Marymount Hospice who made sure that she lived her final days in comfort and dignity.
