The death has occurred of
Nan BYRNE
Nan Byrne of Tomard, Bilboa, Co Carlow, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on March 2nd, 2026, under the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, Gowran, Co Kilkenny.
Beloved sister of Josie, Statia and the late May, Davy, Ciss, Kate, Bridie and Lil and much loved daughter of the late John and Elizabeth.
She will be sadly missed by her loving sisters, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and friends.
May Nan’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace
Nan will repose at her niece Eilís Brennan home, Ballinvalley, Castlewarren, Co Kilkenny (Eircode R95 EP28) on Tuesday March 3rd from 3pm with Prayers at 8pm that evening. Removal from there on Wednesday morning at 10.15am to St Fintan’s Church, Ballinabranna, Co Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery
The family of Nan would like to sincerely thank all the staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home for the care and attention shown to Nan and her family over the six years
