Nancy Murphy
(née Barnes)

The death has occurred of Nancy Murphy (nee Barnes) Chesham, England and formerly of Caim, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.

Nancy passed away in her loving daughter’s arms on 4th September 2024. Deeply devoted to her family. Daughter of the late James and Mary Barnes, Caim. Beloved wife of the late Tom Murphy (formerly of Kiltealy, Enniscorthy). Treasured mother to Maria and son-in-law Mark, cherished grandmother (Nonny) to Daniel, Ciara and Ailish. Loving sister to Mary and brother Michael and her late sisters Theresa, Josie and Kathleen and late brother Terry. Also deeply loved by her extended family, the late John and friends.

Nancy’s home in Caim, was always enshrined in her soul, as was Ireland. She had so much love for her family and friends there – always in contact and visiting as much as she could.

Family flowers only. All donations, if desired, will go to St Columba’s Roman Catholic Church, Chesham where they will be divided between Missionaries of the Sacred Heart Cork (as her local priests based in Chesham were exceptional to Nancy) and to Vincent de Paul Society at St Columba’s Church.
