Ned Stokes

Ned died peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family on July 12th, 2024. Predeceased by his beloved wife Ann and son John.

Ned will be forever loved and dearly missed by his family, sons Mikey, Sonny, Bob, Tommy and Willie, daughters Lena, Julie, Tina, Bridgie, Mary, Lucy, Sherley and Donna, also Lena Kelly (who Ned reared and loved dearly), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren,brothers-in-law Tom Stokes (Carrick-on-Shannon) and Willie Stokes (formerly of Carrick-on-Shannon), sisters-in-law May, Maggie, Bridgie and Kathleen, nephews,nieces, relatives, neighbours and dear friends.

Peacefully sleeping, resting at last
His weary trials and troubles past
In silence, he suffered
In patience, he bore
Till God called him home
To suffer no more.

Rest in Peace Ned.

Reposing in his home on Saturday 13th from 2pm until 8pm, and again on Sunday 14th from 12noon until 5pm, followed with removal to St. Mary's Church, Granard for prayers at 6.30. Funeral Mass on Monday 15th at 12noon. Following Mass, Ned will be laid to rest in the family plot in Aughafin Cemetery, Edgeworthstown.
