Nell McAuliffe
(née Lyons)

Nell McAuliffe née Lyons, Scart, Knocknagoshel and late of Dromadda, Lyreacrompane. Peacefully on July 8th 2025 in her 96th year in the wonderful care of the staff of Araglen House Nursing Home, Boherbue, Co Cork and previously the staff of Ardagh Ward, University Hospital Kerry.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, son Den Joe, and son in law Pat O’Connor. Also remembering her deceased parents Denis and Julia Lyons, her siblings Tom, Diarmuid, Jackie, Michael, Jimmy, Nora, Marie, Bridget and Hannah and all the deceased members of the McAuliffe family.

Nell will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Jim, Mike, and Timmy, daughters Marion (O’Connor) Tournafulla, Sheila (Enright) Laccanoneen, Knocknagoshel and Kay (Murphy) Ballydesmond, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, her 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and great neighbours.

May Nell Rest in Peace

Reposing at Leahy's Funeral Home, Knocknagoshel Village this Thursday evening July 10th from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass for Nell will take place in St Mary's Church Knocknagoshel on Friday at 11am, followed by burial afterwards in Knockane Cemetery.
