Nellie Boyd

The family of Nellie Boyd would like to give thanks to their mother on the occasion of her death for all her love and care over the years. Nellie was the eldest of six daughters of Paddy and Peggy Shanley late of Knockarush, Boyle, County Roscommon.

Nellie was married to Liam Boyd (deceased) son of James and Catherine Boyd of Ballinvilla, Croghan, County Roscommon, a well-known local gaelic football family in 1940s and 1950s. Nellie and Liam moved to England in the late 1950s successfully rearing three children, John, Elizabeth and Fiona and four grandchildren, William, Tara, Hugh and Luke.
