Nellie Hallihan
HALLIHAN (Lickowen, Castletownshend): On January 22nd 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Skibbereen Community Hospital. NELLIE (nee Crowley) beloved wife of the late John Joe, loving mother to Laurence, Tina and John, adored grandmother of Chloe, Katie and James, sister of the late Pat and Betty, sister-in-law of the late James, Larry and Frank, godmother of the late Colm. Sadly missed by her loving children, grandchildren, brother Florence, sister Mary, sisters-in law Jo, Ann, Cathy and most of all Crissie, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at Hurley & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Skibbereen on Friday, January 23rd 2026 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 12 noon in St. Barrahane’s Church, Castlehaven. Burial afterwards in Castlehaven New Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses, Doctors and Public Health nurses that cared for mum and most of all to her family, relations and neighbours that visited mum.
