Niall Carney

The death has occurred of Niall Carney (Drogheda Co. Louth and Trim, Co. Meath) – 3rd January 2025, age 56. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda after a short, devastating illness. Cherished and beloved husband of Nicola (Pierce) and son of the late Patrick & Nora Carney (Trim). Much-loved brother of Padraig & Eileen, Gerry & Dolores, Maura, Bernadette, Deirdre & Alan and Michael & Margaret. Dearly loved son-in-law of Breda & Nick Pierce (Dublin), brother-in-law to Lynn & Ciaran, Rachel & Donagh, Gayle & Guy. Devoted, loving uncle to his many nephews and nieces. Deeply mourned by his extended family and friends.

At Niall’s request, donations to Drogheda Animal Rescue preferred in lieu of flowers.

Reposing in his home (A92 FDN1) on Sunday 5th January between 3 - 6pm, house private on Monday 6th.

Removal on Tuesday morning at 10:40am, walking to Gerrard's Church, Mary Street (A92 CY24) for a celebration of Niall's life at 11am.

Private Cremation will take place later.
