Nicky Whelan

Nicky passed away peacefully in the care of St Theresa's Hospital Clogheen on the 16th January 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his parents Matthew & Bridget, brother Mattie and sister Joan Murphy, sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, son Stephen, daughter Stacey, son-in-law Mike, Stephen's fiancé Thao Dang, his adored grandson James, brothers Tommy and Ger, sisters Eileen Pue, Phyllis (Sr Berchman) and Mary Veale, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Nicky will be reposing at Walsh's funeral home new street Carrick-on-Suir on Tuesday the 20th January from 5pm to 7pm, Nicky will be arriving at the Sacred Heart church Rathgormack on Wednesday the 21st January for requiem mass on arrival at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
