NIGEL WARD

NIGEL WARD (Whitegate and Cobh), on October 25th 2025, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the staff of Ward 3B, Cork University Hospital.

 

Beloved son of the late Robert (Bob) and Daphne Ward and brother-in-law of the late Joe Conway.

 

Nigel will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his brothers Brian and Steven, sisters Penelope (Conway) and Gillian (who was Nigel’s primary carer), also his sisters-in-law Liz and Angela, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.

 

Nigel’s family wish to acknowledge and give thanks to Dr. Diarmuid Mulcahy, the local First Responders and the Paramedics who tended to Nigel with great care and dignity.

 

A special thanks to Catherine for her great kindness, support and friendship to Nigel over the past few years.

Reception into St. Michael & All Angels Church, Corkbeg, Whitegate on Wednesday 29th for 12pm Funeral Service.

 

A private burial will take place afterwards.
