Noel MacMahon

The death has occurred of Noel MacMahon, Shinrone, Co. Offaly.

 

Noel passed away peacefully on 4th March 2026, at the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore.

 

Sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, daughters Marguerite and Niamh, and sons-in-law John and Brian. Predeceased by his beloved son Cuimín. Always remembered by his grandchildren Anna, Conor, Tom, and Faye, sister Yvonne, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

 

As the former Principal of Shinrone National School and a longstanding member of the community, Noel will be fondly remembered by the many generations he taught and the colleagues and friends he worked alongside throughout the years.

Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at Treacy’s Funeral Home, Shinrone (R42 E125), on Friday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12pm at St Mary’s Church, Shinrone, (R42 WT26) followed by burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Shinrone.

 

The family wish to express their gratitude to the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, for the great care they have taken of Noel.
