Noel Marmion

Noel Marmion, “Glenegad House”, Forkhill Road, Dundalk, passed away peacefully on 12th April 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Louth County Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen née O’ Hare (July 2011) and parents James and Mary. Cherished father of Patricia (Atlanta, Georgia) and Elaine (Waterford), much-loved Papa to Dearbhla, Caoimhina, Eve, William and B, brother of Desmond (California), Mae Corden (Connecticut) and Brendan (Moorland).

He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his heartbroken daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sister, sons-in-law Peter and Liam, extended family, neighbours and many friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, warmth and gentle presence.

May He Rest in Peace.

Noel will repose at his home (A91 N7F2) on Tuesday from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am from his home to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown (A91 XH75), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
