Nora Buckley
(née Madden)

Pluckanes North, Donoughmore, Cork

Buckley (Pluckanes North, Donoughmore, Co. Cork); on January 31st 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Cork University Hospital; Nora (née Madden); beloved wife of the late D.J. and much-loved mother of Denis, Brian, Terence, Colm, Vincent and the late Pádraig.

 

Sadly missed by her loving sons, her sister Betty (Murphy), grandchildren, great-grandchild, daughters-in-law Jillian, Bríd, Mairéad, Orla, Miriam and Kay, nephews, nieces, her kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.

 

Reposing at her home on Tuesday February 3rd from 5.00pm to 8.00pm followed by prayers. Requiem Mass on Wednesday February 4th at 1.00pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Fornaught. Funeral afterwards to St. Lachteen’s Cemetery, Stuake. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to The CUH Charity. Nora’s Requiem Mass will be live-streamed on Cork Live Stream.
