Nora passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Galway Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Beloved wife of Michael and much loved mother of Thomas, Catherine, Eileen and Noreen. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her husband, son and daughters, daughter-in-law Lorraine, sons-in-law Anthony, Patrick and Donal and her adored grandchildren Seán, Nicole, Sarah, Sophie, Callum and Fionn.

Nora will be fondly remembered with great love and affection by the extended Lydon and Folan family, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Tuesday 20th January, 2026 :

Reposing at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Wednesday 21st January, 2026:

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Nora at the Sacred Heart Church, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway on arrival at 11.30 a.m. (H91 E781)

Following Mass she will be laid to Rest in Rahoon cemetery.

 

House private and family flowers only please.

Parking and entrance to the funeral parlour:

Please approach the funeral parlour on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Parking may be scarce on Munster Avenue.

Car Parks: within walking distance of the Parlour.

The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station
