Nora Nangle
(née Donelan)

Nora Nangle (nee Donelan) New York, USA and formerly from Newforest, Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.  Predeceased by her sisters Mary, Kitty, Neil, Buddy, her brothers Paddy, Jack, Bill and Tommy.  On July 11, 2021, Nora passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Nora was born on March 24, 1925, in Kilkerrin, Co. Galway, Ireland. Nora emigrated to New York in January, 1948, and resided in the Bronx until she married her husband, Larry, a County Carlow native, in 1952, and subsequently moved to Tuckahoe, NY. Nora was a loving parent to her three children, Brenda (Geraghty), Brian, and Larry(Joan) and her three grandchildren Conor, Kayla, and Graham.

She was very devoted to her Catholic faith, and was an active parishioner of The Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe, NY. Nora was a founding member of The Eastchester Irish American Club. Nora was also, an accomplished Irish Dancer. Nora always did her best to get to a Ceili, whether it was near or far, but especially loved Ceili’s when they were close by at The Kerry Hall in Yonkers, NY. Nora was also, a proud member of The Doonbeg Social Club.

Nora enjoyed traveling and discovering new places. She enjoyed and lived life to the fullest, and her ever positive outlook on life was a great source of inspiration to many. Nora will be sorely missed and always remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to YAI of Westchester. Nora's son, Brian still attends programs there.

The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, Inc. Eastchester, NY Thursday, July 15, 3pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, July 16th, at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery, Eastchester.
