O’Brien, “Girlough House”, Ballinascarta, Midleton On March 15th 2021, peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family. Nora, (affectionately known as Granny Nora) (nee Fitzgerald, Ballygibbon, Mogeely), beloved wife of the late Con and loving mother of Colman, Norma (Sexton), Kevin, Mary (O’Farrell), Geraldine (Coughlan), Conor, Ethel (Wolohan), Sean and Seamus. Mother-in-law of the late Regina O’Brien (nee McSweeney), sister of Paddy and the late William, Mary Hurley, Jim, Kathleen Gumbleton, Elizabeth Morrissey and Bob. Aunt to the late Patrick Fitzgerald and Pat Hurley. Also remembering the deceased members of the O’Brien family. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law Dermot, Martin, Richard and Eric, daughters-in-law Gillian, Sara, Bernadette and Ana, her 28 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and a wide circle of cousins and friends.

In accordance with current Government Restrictions on public gatherings, Nora’s Funeral will take place privately.
Nora’s Funeral Cortege will leave the family home on Thursday 18th March at 1 p.m. via Kilmountain Cross en route to Sacred Heart Church, Mogeely for 2 p.m. Funeral Mass after which Nora will be laid to rest with her beloved Con in Mogeely Old Cemetery.
