Norah Teresa (Kennedy) McGinn, 80, of Norwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Born in Tipperary, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John Kennedy and Norah (Joyce) Kennedy.

 

Beloved wife of the late John McGinn. Predeceased by her precious infant daughter, Treacy. Treasured and missed dearly by her children Jacintha Murphy, Katherine Burke, Marcella Arch, and Sean McGinn. Loved by her sons-in-law Paul Burke and James Murray, and daughter-in-law Alana McGinn. Sadly missed by her beloved grandchildren Hannah Murphy, Emma Murphy, Cassie Burke, Lucy Arch, John McGinn, and step-granddaughter Emma Murray. Cherished sister of Barbara and John of Tipperary, Ireland. She leaves behind her devoted cat, Tarzan, who was always by her side and brought a quiet comfort with an authoritarian flair. Predeceased by her loving brothers and sisters Betty, Maura, Mickey, Brenda, Jude, and Martin. Fondly remembered by her extended family, many nieces and nephews, friends, carers and the kindest neighbors.

 

Mom was beautiful, strong, funny, fierce, and utterly fabulous. Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 14th at 12:30pm in St. Macartan's (Forth Chapel) Catholic Church, Springtown Road, Augher, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland BT77 0EA. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery
