The death has occurred of Noreen O’Keeffe (née O’Keeffe), 7 Cill Ard, Scarteen Road, Newmarket, Co. Cork (formerly of Curraduff, Newmarket; San Francisco; and Colmanswell, Charleville). Noreen passed away on August 24th, 2025, peacefully at Cork University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dan, brothers John Patrick and Den Joe, and sister Betty.

Deeply mourned by her children Tommy (Mary), Joan (Bill), Patrick (Frankie), grandchildren Sean (Janice), Jennifer (Eric), Daniel (Emma) and Timmy (Astrella), great-grandchildren Savannah, Mackenzie, Liam and John, sisters Sheila and Margaret, brothers Connie and Billy, brothers-in-law Jack, Jerry and Alick, sisters-in-law Nell, Patsy and Mary, and special honorary granddaughter/friend Kathryn Lane, nieces, nephews, extended family both here and in San Francisco and New York, neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace, and may those who think of her today say a little prayer to Jesus.

Reposing at O'Reilly's Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm followed by removal to St. Mary's Church. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon which may be viewed on https://lifeisriver.com/. Funeral afterwards to Clonfert Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend its most heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff of both doctors and nurses at Cork University Hospital CCU and Palliative Care team, who cared for Noreen like family. We would also like to sincerely thank Dr. Zelie Gaffney Daly, the district nurses, and the home helps for the exceptional care and kindness they showed to Noreen.
