Nuala O'Driscoll
(née Doyle)

Balbriggan, Dublin / Wexford Town, Wexford

Nuala O’Driscoll (née Doyle), formerly of O' Connell Avenue, St. John’s Road Wexford; Hillview Close, Ballymoney, Wexford; Drinaghan, Knocknarea Sligo, and Hampton Cove, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Nuala, much loved wife of Kevin, sister of Anne, Mary, John and Dick. She will be sadly missed by her very large extended family and many friends. Nuala lost her eight-year battle against cancer, at the Beacon Hospital, Dublin, on Easter Sunday morning. She was pre-deceased by her father, Richard, mother Alice, her brothers Andy, Paddy, Larry, and by her sisters Kathleen, Alsie, Jenny, Lily and Thelma.

Nuala had a peaceful painless and gentle passing in the presence of her loving family under the care of Professor Ray McDermott, his dedicated oncology team and all staff at the Oncology Ward at the Beacon to whom we are all grateful and indebted.

We received wonderful home-stay support from the nurses, professionals and carers at the HSE and from the caring staff of St. Francis Hospice Raheny. Throughout her long illness, her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grandnephews, brothers, sisters, in-laws and partners, friends and neighbours provided invaluable care and support.

Nuala will be mourned and missed by her former colleagues at CIE; Wexford Council; LGPSU and Impact Trades Unions; and Dublin Airport. Tributes and condolences have been received from her friends and neighbours in Antibes, Cote d’Azur France, and from relations and friends across the world.
