Nuala Staines
(née Mathews)
Staines (née Mathews) Nuala (Castleknock) – January 15, 2026 (peacefully) in the excellent care of Mount Hybla Nursing Home, singer, pianist, music teacher in Mount Sackville school and leader of several choirs, beloved wife of the late Michel A. Staines; lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sons Anthony, David and James, daughter Barbara, daughters-in-law Úna and Suzanne, Barbara’s partner Roman, her adored grandchildren Lorna, Jonathan, James and Hugo, brother Fr. Billy SJ, extended family, kind neighbours and her many friends.
Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock on Tuesday morning (Jan 20) in Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock. Funeral thereafter to St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Castleknock.
