Oisín Gillain

In Loving Memory of Oisín Noël Gillain, né à Saint-Germain en Laye, Paris, of Barleyfield, Kilbrittain, Co Cork.

 

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Oisín, aged 18, on 18th March 2025. Oisín passed away suddenly at home, in his sleep from SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome), leaving behind a profound sense of loss and grief among family, friends, Les Bronzés and the community.

 

Oisín was a beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, godson, friend, classmate, teammate and neighbour who touched the lives of everyone he met. His humour, passion for life, loyal friendships and love of food, sport and craic were renowned.

 

Oisín is deeply missed by his loving sisters, Sinéad & Fionnuala, Christophe, son Papa adorable and his heartbroken Mom, Catherine, his Nannie, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and his wide circle of devoted teammates and friends. His sudden departure leaves a void that will never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

 

Oisín will repose at his home in Barleyfield, Kilbrittain (P72YR66) on Friday 21st March from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with Funeral Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church, Kilbrittain on Saturday 22nd March at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we would welcome donations to Oisín’s beloved Kilbrittain GAA club for the purchase of a new piece of equipment for the local GAA gym, click here. Thank you to everyone who coached, played with and taught Oisín over the years.
