Olive Summerville (N.T.) (née McHugh), Ashmount Leenane, and Ballybane Headford, Co. Galway, 15th December 2025. Olive passed away peacefully in her 93rd year in the loving care of the staff of Caiseal Geal Nursing Home, Castlegar. Predeceased by her husband Martin (Garda), her stepsons Gerard and James, her parents Joseph and Sarah, her sisters Una and Lourdie, her brothers Denis, Ted and Leo. Deeply regretted by her stepson Joseph, her sisters and brothers Frank, Rose, Kevin, Sadie, Sr Riona, Fr Kieran, Redmond and Marian, step-granddaughters Philippa and Niamh, sisters-in-law Clare, Anna and Sue, brother-in-law Eamonn, stepdaughters-in-law Joan and Lynn, nephews, nieces and a large circle of friends.

May Olive’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at Carey’s Funeral Home, Claran Road, Headford (H91 E6X9) on Wednesday evening December 17th from 5pm with removal at 7pm to St. Patrick and St. Cuana Church (Corner Chapel H91 V9F7). Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Thursday December 18th at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Donaghpatrick Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/corner-chapel
