Late of Waterford Crystal and Kilmeaden Cheese factory, Waterford.

 

Oliver passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the Oak Ward of University Hospital Waterford.

 

Predeceased by his beloved son Killian, cherished grandson Eoghan, parents Patrick and Ellen, siblings Patrick and Kathleen.

 

Oliver will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Lillian, devoted children Caroline, Martina, Padraig and Olivia, his adoring grandchildren Annie, Millie, Cian, Ellen, Donncha, Conor and Will, he will also be fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law Teresa, sons-in-law Larry and Kieran, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and all his nieces, nephews, especially those who supported the family throughout his illness.

Oliver’s memory will live on in the hearts of his extended family, kind neighbours, and many dear friends.

 

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack St, Waterford on Thursday (13th November) from 2:00pm to 5:00pm with vigil prayers and Rosary at 4:00pm.

 

Requiem Mass on arrival in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Dunhill, Co. Waterford on Friday (14th November) at 11:00am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Mass will be livestreamed at 11:00 am on (Friday) by following the Funeral Service link below.

 

The Gooney family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care Oliver received during his time in the Medical Wards of University Hospital Waterford, with special thanks to the compassionate staff of the Oak Ward.
