With our broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Ollie who passed away in the early hours of September 6th, 2024. Loved by so many, Ollie will be forever remembered by his broken-hearted wife Anita, their adored children Iona and Euan.
Forever missed by his heartbroken parents Kathleen and Tony Hanley, Scramogue, his siblings Carmel (Alan) , Paul (Breege), Fergal (Doireann) and Aaron (Noreen).
Anita’s family which Ollie was such a big part of - Eileen and Tommy Fallon (Ballymurray), Helena (John R.I.P.) Roddy, Damian (Grainne), Conor (Mary) and Maria (Andrew) Sugrue. Always remembered by his uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends, work colleagues and all in the GAA circles especially from St. Dominic’s, Knockcroghery and as a younger man St. Barry’s, Tarmonbarry.
Ollie is predeceased by his nephews Cormac and Tom, his niece Maisie, his brother-in-law John Roddy and his Wallace and Hanley grandparents.
May Ollie rest in peace.
Ollie will repose at his home in Kilcash (F42 X436) on Sunday evening from 4 o’c until 7 o’c. Ollie will arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Knockcroghery for his funeral Mass at 11 o’c on Monday morning (9th September) with burial afterwards in Gailey Cemetery.

The Hanley and Fallon family would like to express their thanks to all those who took care of Ollie during his illness, especially the doctors, nurses and staff at Galway University Hospital. They would also like to acknowledge their neighbours and friends for their kindness and prayers at this time.
