Orla Mairéad Mullany, M.R.C.V.S.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Orla after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Orla died peacefully surrounded by her heartbroken family, in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and staff of St. James’s Hospital. She is predeceased by her father Walter Phelan.

 

Beloved wife and best friend of Tom and devoted mother of Lorcán and Doireann. She will be sadly missed by her husband, son and daughter, mother Nuala, brother Ronan, sister Nuala, the extended Mullany and Phelan families, her many friends, neighbours and veterinary colleagues in Dublin and around Ireland.

 

There will be a gathering of family and friends that will take place at Fanagans Funeral Home, Willbrook Road, Rathfarnham on Thursday, October 3rd from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.

 

Orla’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Ballyboden on Friday, October 4th at 10.30am. A private family committal will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Orla, to the St. James’s Hospital Foundation and Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services, Harold’s Cross.
