Owen Johnston

Owen Johnston, Tarmonbarry, Co.Roscommon and Clonbrock, Killashee, Co.Longford and formerly of Proleek, Ravensdale, Dundalk, Co.Louth.It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Owen, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff at Roscommon Hospice on 9th January 2026, following a short illness bravely borne with great courage and determination. Pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Owen , brother-in-law Ian and by his father-in-law P.J.

Owen will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Rosemary (née Killian), sisters Barbara and Colette, brothers Pat, David, Maurice and Mark, mother-in-law Rita, sisters-in-law Jane, Anne, Eileen, Elaine, Gráinne, Carol and Clodagh, brothers-in-law Phil, Thomas, Michael, Joe and Michael, nieces , nephews, relatives, many good friends, neighbours and work colleagues at ABP Clones.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Sunday 11th January from 2.00pm concluding with prayers at 5.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St.Patrick’s Church, Killashee on Monday 12th January at 12.00noon, interment afterwards in Ballinakill cemetery.
