P.J. (Paddy) SHEEHAN

SHEEHAN, P.J. (former MCC & TD):  On August 10, 2020, peacefully, at his home at Main Street, Goleen and in the presence of his loving family: Paddy, pre-deceased by his darling and devoted wife, Frances; sister, Eileen (Corrigan, interred in Birmingham) and brother, Timmy, late of Kilbrown & Calnan Park; Loving father of Diarmuid, Deirdre, Eucharia (O’Mahony) and Maebh (O’Connor); father in law of Gerard and Tom, grandfather of Caragh May, Gearoid, Ciaran, Ellen and the late baby Micheal.  Sadly, missed by his loving family, Deirdre’s partner, Joseph, relatives, colleagues and his many loyal and dear friends.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

In keeping with current Government Guidelines on public gatherings, Paddy’s funeral will take place privately.

Paddy’s funeral cortège will bid a final farewell to his many loyal friends and supporters on Thursday  August 13, starting at Toormore at 11.30am, passing through Durrus at 12 noon, Ballydehob at 12.40 (via Bantry Cross/Barnagaoithe), Schull at 12.55pm and arriving in Goleen approx.. 1.30pm for a private Requiem Mass at 2pm in Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea and St Patrick’s, Goleen, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.  Family flowers only, donations in lieu, and if desired, to Cork Simon Community.
