PADDY JOE GLYNN

Calfhill, Peterswell, Galway / Gort, Galway

GLYNN Patrick Joseph better known as Paddy Joe. Calfhill, Peterswell, Gort, Co. Galway. Peacefully on the 3rd of January, 2025, in the tender care of the staff of the Crannogs Unit, St. Brendan’s community nursing unit, Loughrea.

 

Pre-deceased by his beloved parents Patrick & Kathleen by his sisters Christina and Mary Margaret and by his brothers Eamon and Mattie.

 

Cherished and much loved Paddy Joe will be sadly missed by his brother John and by the extended Glynn and Fahy families . Fondly remembered by his cousins, relatives, great neighbours and many friends.

Paddy Joe will lie in repose in Seomra Ciúin, within Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, (H91 E0C8) on Sunday evening, January 5th, from 4pm. Removal at 5pm to the Church of St. Thomas, Peterswell. Requiem Mass Monday, January 6th at 1pm. Paddy Joe will be laid to rest afterwards in Kilthomas cemetery.

 

The family deeply appreciates your kindness and support at this time. We wish to thank all who cared for Paddy Joe during his illness with such kindness, the Dialysis team at Merlin Park, the amazing patient transfer team Ray, Eamon, Richie, and colleauges. A special word of thanks to nurse Lisa Reddington Diabetic Clinic you always brought a smile to Paddy Joe’s face. To the wonderful carers who made it possible for Paddy Joe to remain at home as was his utmost wish. Finally to the wonderful staff at St. Brendan’s community nursing unit who made Paddy Joe’s last few days a home away from home and took such great care of him, we thank you all.
