Paddy Rooney

The death has occurred of Paddy Rooney, Turners Hill, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, 25th March 2021. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Noreen, sons Conor and Shane, daughters Patricia (Duffy) and Emma.  Predeceased by his granddaughter Caoimhe Duffy, his parents, brothers and sisters; Paddy will be sadly missed by his family, his sister Kathleen (Reilly), his daughter-in-law Martina, son-in-law Bernard, his adored grandchildren Amy, Paddy, Noel, Shay and Niamh, Amy's husband Matthew, Paddy's partner Linda and Noel's partner Lisa, great grandchildren Jack and Caitlin, sisters-in-law,  brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private Funeral Mass will take place for the family in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt on Sunday, 28th March, at 12 noon with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Paddy's funeral cortège will leave his home and travel via Lower Main Street, Main Street and Hall Street, Kingscourt to the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Sunday morning, arriving at 12 noon. Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line the route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect.
