Paddy Ruddy, Alt, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, peacefully at the Aras Deirbhle Nursing Home, Belmullet on 6th April 2022. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Bridget, his brothers Martin, John and Michael and sisters Mary Barrett and Baby Bridget Agnes. Beloved brother of Gus (Belmullet), Tom (Manchester) and Jim (Alt), sisters Nancy Ivers (New York) and Kathleen Carolan (New York), sisters in law Rita and Kathleen, brother in law Mike, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

 

Paddy’s remains will repose at his residence at Alt, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, on Friday afternoon from 2pm until 7pm, with funeral arriving at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Glencastle, at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 1pm, followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.

 

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing at 1pm on Saturday afternoon on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page with all other funeral services available for viewing at 9pm on Saturday evening.

 

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the “Patients Comfort Fund at the Aras Deirbhle Nursing Home, Belmullet”, c/o McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.

 

In adherence to best practice at the Ruddy residence, the church and the cemetery, a walk through only system will be in place, with no handshaking and the wearing of face masks would be very much appreciated. The Ruddy family are very grateful for your understanding at this difficult time.
