Pamela Manahan
(née Casserly)
Just a few weeks short of her 96th birthday, in the exceptional care of all the staff in Newtownpark House Nursing Home, July 5th 2022, Pamela Manahan (née Casserly) has decided that enough is enough. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, sisters and the extended family; plus the menagerie of friends, acquaintances and helpers she acquired along the way.
Pamela was born in 1926, in the nascence of the Irish Free State, with a life expectancy at birth of about 56 years – she was quite understandably smug about how well she did in beating those expectations. Mum, light a ciggie from the last one, crank up the Sinatra, pour the whiskey, have a meringue, and enjoy the perpetual party.
Reposing in Quinn’s of Glasthule from 4:00 to 5:00pm on Thursday, 7th July, Funeral mass at 10:00am on the morning of Friday, the 8th July, in St Joseph’s Church, Glasthule www.churchservices.tv/glasthule, followed by private cremation.
