Pat (Pat Joe) McCabe,

Birr Community Nursing Unit,

late of Lumcloon, Cloghan, Offaly.

 

Pat died on January 9th 2026, peacefully with his family, in the loving care of the staff at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, in his 101st year.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Agnes and Kieran, sisters, Annie Maloney, Bridie Cregg, Sr. Charles, Josie Maher, Peg, and Teresa Quinn, and brother John.

Pat will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, the staff and residents of Birr Community Nursing Unit, neighbours and friends.

Pat will repose at Grennan's Funeral Home, Ferbane (R42 HW25) on Sunday (Jan. 11th) from 4pm to 5.30pm.

(Additional parking available in the adjoining Church car park)

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday (Jan. 12th) in St. Mary's Church, Cloghan at 11am, and may be viewed on http://www.cloghanbanagherparish.ie, and afterwards Pat will be laid to rest in Gallen Cemetery.
