Pat Tangney

Pat Tangney of Meadowlands, Oakpark, Tralee and formerly Scartaglin, Co. Kerry, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 13th January 2026. Beloved husband of Brigid (née McKenna) and cherished father of Maureen, Joann and Pádraig.

Sadly missed by his loving family, his grandchildren Ciara, Amy, Scott and Cillian, sons-in-law Mark Harrison and Ciarán Fitzmaurice, brothers Michael (Canada) and Denis, sisters Eileen Healy and Sr. Maura (Chicago), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in Peace.

Pat will be waking at Joann’s home in Ballymacelligott on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. Pat will repose at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee, on Thursday (15th January) from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. Funeral arriving to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rathass, Tralee on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for Pat will be celebrated at 10 a.m. (streamed on St. John's Tralee- Facebook page). Interment afterwards in Rath Lawn Cemetery, Tralee.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to St. Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow, or care of The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.
