Patricia Browne Flaherty

Castlepark, Ballybane, Galway / Shantalla, Galway

It is with deep sadness that Patricia's heartbroken family announce her passing on Thursday, 12th February 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at University Hospital, Galway. Predeceased by her father and mother, Tom and Vera Browne and sister Geraldine Browne O'Neill.

Patricia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be forever in the hearts of her adoring family. Cherished by her loving sons Michael, Patrick, Gerard, Thomas and Martin, her adopted son Paul, brothers Johnny and Tom, daughters-in-law and her treasured grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Greatly missed also by the many neighbours and friends who's lives were enriched by her huge heart, warmth and kindness.

Funeral Arrangements

Monday, 16th February 2026

Patricia will lie in Repose at the Church of the Holy Family Funeral Parlour, Mervue from 5 p.m. Removal at 6:30 p.m. to St. Brigid's Church, Ballybane.

Access to the Funeral Parlour is through the Main Church Entrance. There is a Wheelchair assisted entrance also at ground level through the car park.

 

Tuesday, 17th February 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Patricia at St. Brigid's Church at 11a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Bohermore.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be made in memory of Patricia to Cancer Care West or Western Alzheimers.
